Course Content

This information-packed course is designed to provide you with all the skills and knowledge you need to carry out DSE assessments with confidence and competence. Our course concentrates on the practical aspects of being a DSE assessor and includes guidance on carrying out your assessments virtually using Zoom or any other audio visual methods. We also look at the additional challenges faced by people currently working from home. Face to face training sessions use a mock-up workstation to give you the opportunity to practice carrying out a ‘real-life’ assessment. For virtual sessions, we use real life case studies to discuss and practise your assessing skills.

By the end of this course, delegates will be able to understand and apply current UK legislation with regards to DSE. They will be able to carry out effective DSE assessments, correcting problems immediately or recording actions required and assessing priority for later rectification. They will also understand the additional challenges that home working or hybrid working staff may face, and will be able to offer them practical guidance.
