About This Course
This course is designed to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 in a workplace where a qualified first-aider is required.
Successful completion of this course will enable the designated first aider to carry out appropriate first aid in an emergency situation at work.
Course Aims
This course will allow you to act as a qualified First Aider in your place of work.
On completion, you will be able to:
- Understand UK legislation
- Understand the role of the first-aider
- Carry out an assessment of the situation
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use an AED
- Administer first aid to a casualty with other life-threatening conditions or injuries
- Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries
- Keep records and follow reporting protocol

Who Should Attend?
This course is for candidates who require a First Aid at Work certificate to comply with HSE requirements.
Delegates must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.
To attend the course, delegates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline.
